El Taco Loco Mexican Restaurant in Brighton

This is my fourth and last time. I wanted to like it, but every time the food seems like it’s been sitting in a buffet style area just tossed cold onto a plate with TONS of cheese. :( DO NOT ORDER THE OYSTERS or any seafood. It is fishy, frozen, and or not fresh. (I know, we went on a limb with the oysters... if you want good oysters go to an oyster bar downtown, HAPPY HOUR JAX the way to go).

Last straw. Went there today after saying we would not be back since the last couple times the service has been awful. Chips were stale, chewy. After requesting fresh chips, the only response was " they were made today" no offer for fresh ones. Not going back...ever.

Food was very delicious, made to order, yet quickly made. It is quite traditional. Good service as well!

Good place with Mexican food

I USED to love this place before the previous family that owned it, sold it very recently. The menu and food has completely changed. The salsa was bland, even the rice and beans were flavorless. While I was there I heard numerous other tables complaining about their food, a few people even sent their food back. I was very disappointed after going to this restaurant for 15+ years! If you go there now, just know the food is completely different! Don't know if I'll even go back again!!

El Taco Loco is a fantastic place to eat. I frequently go there with my grandpa and am constantly met with excellent service and food. The place is clean and the employees are very nice.

two days ago was our first time in this magnificent restaurant. But It is definitely not the last time. We had a good time with the generous service, with the magnificent meal and wine and with the friendly charge. We will no doubt visit there again.

Food it’s not good. Not going back disappointed. But judge for yourself.

The tacos are awesome service is good, you get a good portion.

This was our 2nd visit. Our main dishes were very good, but their chips and salsa are not great. Also, we had pretty poor service tonight. After being shown a table, we waited close to 10 minutes for someone to even being us menus. We were ready to leave and in the process of googling another place to go when someone finally came to our table. It's a small place and not very busy when we were there. We expected quicker service.

Great restaurant! Seldom do you go to a restaurant where the actual food serving is better than the Pictures in the menu. Friendly staff and authentic Mexican foods. Not much atmosphere, but great food!

Total small hole in the wall place but the Fajitas and enchiladas are wonderful.

The resteraunt was clean, the employees friendly. Food was good not great. Portions were large.

The food is AMAZING! Quiet, understated atmosphere and fantastic friendly service. I will go out of my way for the food here anytime! If they had a liquor license, I am sure they would be a nighttime hot spot.

Best grilled steak torta I've ever had. Chile rellanos were delicious too. Beans are little thick for my taste. Great service clean place.

This is by far the best Mexican food in Brighton and easily one of the best places to eat. I ventured off to another Mexican place and regretted it. Such good food. There service isn't the best sometimes and longs waits, but the food makes up for it!

Had the mixed fajitas they where amazing my husband loved the burritos so much he had another one my son had the chicken and bean burrito he loved it to staff was nice place was clean will definitely go back. This is all true but after we ate we went home and all 3 of us got some "issues" food tasted great but did other things to us afterwards.

Are you kidding me? We walked in and it’s like walking right into the dining room. No “hostess” station to stand at. There are tables on both sides right when you step in. I would never want to be sat there. We were sat next to a wall, where there was absolutely no room to sit on one side, due to a table behind being too close. They brought us a basket of chips that had like 4 chips... ok that’s sarcastic... but it wasn’t a full basket.Then came the chip test. I took one bite and I was done. The chips were COLD!!!!!!!Who the hell serves cold chips!? No DECENT Mexican food would do that!!Even Chili’s has warm chips.

The atmosphere is great, the place is never too crowded, and the prices are reasonable!

Came for lunch, chips were stale and salsa was watered down. Place didn't look very clean, sorry but I wasn't happy with this place 😔

Love the chairs and boothes, cool woodwork! Food was good and so was the service. Prices very reasonable. Orders came quickly.

Worse “Mexican food ever”. I would not recommend this place at all. The breakfast burrito tasted like it was a microwaveable one. The menudo was horrible as well 🤦🏻‍♂️ will not be coming back.

Taco Loco is an authentic Mexican food restaurant. Huge menu selection.Daily specials. Quick friendly service,They sell the best Menudo in Brighton. Taco Tuesday is the best deal on town.4 tacos (8 varities of meat to choose from) beans and rice $6.75The pork chop plate is huge...Free refills on drinks...This restaurants food has flavor, and they are not skimpy with their Chile.Real Guacamole, 3 types of salsa, no dry enchiladas, killer breakfast, sea food plates, ice cold beer, kids menu, etc. etc. etc.I definitely recommend this restaurant over another Mexican restaurant in Brighton Co.Open 7 days per week.Tell them Moya recommended them.

Service was good, but the chips was stale the carnitas was dry and chewy and the burrito tasted bad. Worst taco Tuesday ever.

They don't acknowledge you, until 20 minutes later. Bad service and food isn't always good, not consistent in their taste

Very disappointed. Ordered food. Specifically asked them to put beans on the side not inside my chimichanga. Got to the restaurant asked again that it was put on the side the guy told me AGAIN it was. I get home to eat, it was extremely soggy and of course there was beans inside. I called and tried talking to him but he continued to then tell me that's how they were made. No i order there all the time and that is a big negative. He started trying to argue so i ended up hanging up on him. Smh idk if i will be back since these new owners dont have great customer service.

I grew up in Brighton, so every time I'm coming back to visit I like to stop by the food is always great and drinks too!

Good food and service Clean establishment

I meet with friends this nice place from time to time! This is my favorite restaurant to grab a bite. I visit this place frequently. The meals are very good, the staff members are friendly and the price is fair. I enjoy eating in this restaurant for a rich meal.

The food is always good and the service usually follows suit. Recently updated seating and tables is appreciated and a bit more comfortable. My only complaint is the undersized and usually crowded dining area. Try to visit during non peak hours.
